Biography:

Jacob Blessing was born circa 1728 in Württemberg, Germany. He was naturalized as a citizen in Pennsylvania on 14 October 1765. 

He married Elizabeth Ritchharts. Their marriage is blessed with eleven children: Jacob, Elizabeth, Barbara, Maria, Lewis, Christian, John, Henry, Abraham, Catherine, and Christina. 

He enlisted in 1780 in Captain Jacob Holman's Company, Virginia militia. 

He passed in 1790 and is buried in Shenandoah County, Virginia.
